"Often considered the most romantic part of Paris, even standing in the centre of the city, the peaceful Ile St-Louis is a prime strolling quarter. Unlike its larger neighbour, the Ile de la Cité, it has no monuments or metro stations, but two bus-lines running on the-side street, Rue de-Deux-Ponts. Anyway, there are 3 or 4 Metro-Stations at most at 300 m. far from the island. You'll find houses with imposing and beautiful façades on single lane streets, and specially on tree-lined river-side streets, a school, a church, a Bank, a Post-Office, assorted restaurants and cafés, and interesting little shops including several supermarkets. A visit to the Ile St Louis wouldn't be complete for most people without a visit to M. Berthillon, makers of exceptional fruit sorbets. "
