Mainly known for its famous Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the sixth arrondissement of Paris also includes the neighborhoods of the Odeon, the Mint and Notre-Dame-des-Champs.
The district is frequented by many weel-known artists and intellectuals, but also by students since one of the most prestigious universities of Paris, the University of la Sorbonne is located there. Bounded to the east by the Jardins du Luxembourg and to the north by the River Seine, the sixth arrondissemnt, which has 43,000 residents, is a district characterized by its fairly well off population.
In the heart of lively day and night Paris

The walking routes are not lacking in the 6th arrondissement among the many stores on Boulevard Saint-Germain, the Luxembourg Gardens and the Seine, the Pont Neuf to Pont des Arts.
But it is nice to visit the 6th arrondissement, it is also due to its efficient transportation network and its many bus stations (including line 21 direct to the St. Lazare train station, and the line 89, which serves the Gare d'Austerlitz) and metro (5 lines total).
