studio Apartment furnished - Quai De Valmy

Landlord's comment:
"The apt. ( independent kitchen and bathroom with shower) is situated on Canal St. Martin (http://en. wikipedia. org/wiki/Canal_Saint-Marti- n) that represented one of the most characteristic walk in Paris. This place is so charming to induce many movies producers to use it, for example for » Amelie » or de « Mes amis, Mes Amours » or « Histoire d’O ». The Canal St. Martin is placed on a very old weir : in front to the building, each hour you can take a boat and to sail up and down Canal St. Martin. My personal suggestion is to try it: it’s not like a touristic trip on the Seine but very exciting and touching.
Beside the street door there is an genuine bistrot where to eat a good typical french meal or at least to drink an aperitif, for example the KYR made with wine and cassis.
The building where is situated the apt. is old-fashioned, rich of allure. The apt. is completely renovated (at the of April 2009) and very well decorated with a nice taste.
At ten minutes walk there is the district of Marais (one of most trendy district in Paris) with the gorgeous Place des Vosges and Beaubourg ( Centre Pompidou with its important modern art collection) and on the other side the district of Belleville where the most famous living writer Daniel Pennac has placed all Malaussene’s saga novels.
At five minutes walk there is Place de la République where you can find République subway station (the biggest metro junction in Paris with Halles and Gare du Nord) and a taxi rank too.
At less then 5 minutes walk there is every kind of shop, included supermarket, laundry and launderette.
Where to eat : "Sur les quais " « Hotel du Nord » on the other side of the quai ( quai des Jemmapes) on the left : full of atmosphere of the past century (first ‘900) .
For the shopaholic of the shoes: all Rue de Meslay
