Bercy (Paris 12°)

The Bercy district occupies the southern part of the 12th arrondissement. It is bordered by the Seine to the southwest, the Bois de Vincennes to the east, and the districts of Picpus and Bel-Air to the northeast. This area was once made up of numerous warehouses through which Burgundy wine was transported. Today, the Bercy district is best known for hosting a large performance hall where many artists perform. Bercy also houses the Ministry of Economy as well as a large shopping and leisure complex. Several bridges allow crossing the Seine to reach the French National Library.
