Ile Saint Louis (Paris 4°)

I rented this apartment form the 1st of February 2016 to the 30 of June 2016. The apartment is in a beautiful historic building in the heart of Ile Saint Louis. The apartment itself was clean, light filled and newly renovated. It had all the fittings of a modern apartment matched with an old high ceiling exposing wooden beams across the roof. The kitchen had everything you need and the bathroom is modern has a spacious shower. If you opened the window and looked out you could see the river Seine on both sides. The apartment building was always very quiet, as was the street outside. In my opinion, Ile Saint Louis is the nicest place to live in Paris. The location is unbeatable and as it is on an island there is a small village feel and it is usually quiet, which I loved. Everything is in walking distance so I rarely took the metro in the 6 months that I lived there. The owner was a lovely polite man too if I ever had any questions. Although the apartment was small( which is normal for Paris) it felt spacious as the bed folded up and there were two very large windows so light filled the apartment and high ceilings. On your doorstep there is two bakeries, a small shop and many restaurants and bars as well as a park. I would recommend this apartment to everyone, it exceeded my expectations. :)
