La Chapelle (Paris 18°)

La Chapelle is an authentic and popular district of northern Paris, although it is has become increasingly gentrified over the last ten years. La Chapelle is encased by railways running north-south; of the North and East stations. The charm of the neighbourhood is enhanced by the market, the shopping streets and the Jardins d’Eole, a landscaped area of ​​over four hectares. The village-like atmosphere is perhaps due to the fact that it was actually a former village, annexed to Paris in the late nineteenth century.
