“Housing for Medical Professionals”: Lodgis has called on our community of property owners

27/03/2020 - As France has been affected by the Coronavirus pandemic over the past few weeks, French medical professionals fight daily to take care of those who are sick and to save lives. But in doing so, they are faced with complicated life and work conditions like long commutes to get to and from work and worry about contaminating their families and loved ones. In an attempt to show our support, Lodgis, leader in furnished rentals in the Ile-de-France region, has called on our community of property owners to graciously offer their vacant furnished apartments to medical professionals free of charge for a month. In 24 hours we received more than 50 property owners who were ready and willing to participate in Operation “Housing for Heroes”.

The idea is simple: the owners of available furnished apartments can contact Lodgis to make their properties available to medical professionals free of charge. Lodgis, working directly with the APHP, who focus on the housing needs of medical professionals in Paris’ hospitals, puts the tenant in contact with the owner.
It is a completely free housing offer: there is no financial compensation for the owner or for Lodgis, which will also take care of the tenant's renter’s insurance and is responsible for establishing a one-month lease at € 0 including charges. In 24 hours more than 50 properties have been offered and are ready to welcome those medical professionals in need.

Our property owners show great generosity in coming forward and responding to this united commitment.
